Anyway, we have been busy curating our top travel bloggers for June 2024.
This first section runs through our heroes – people we think have already gone above and beyond in service to the travel blogging world.
Then, after that, we look at notable mentions and rising stars – travel aficionados you should watch out for in the months ahead.
In Between Travels
In Between Travels is run by Sanne, a Dutch blogger with – amazingly – a normal office job!
Between long stretches of her typical 9-5, she manages to fit in time to jet across the globe, visiting 41 countries across four continents.
Sanne, a top travel blogger, documents her travels using a balanced approach to the concept of travel. She covers the usual visiting of new places, as you might expect. But also how to achieve all your sightseeing ambitions in a reasonable timeframe, which is incredibly helpful. This practical and insightful approach is why she’s on our top travel blogger list.
Much of her content focuses on city guides, for when you’re close to the airport. Sanne also sprinkles a few hiking routes for those who love the outdoors. Her photos look AMAZING too! Her Instagram account shows a small glimpse of the spectacular natural locations she’s visited – all while putting together her diaries.
She also covers obligatory budget-friendly advice and other travel options – useful when exploring on a shoestring but still wanting to have a wild time.
Travelfoss
Second on our list is Travelfoss, a blog by European couple – Diana and Stefan.
Both Diana and Stefan create travel blogs that provide unbiased information about destinations and, to put it bluntly, isn’t afraid to let you know if they are awful. A great asset for first-time travellers and vacationers with a strict budget!
The blog’s philosophy proposes the idea that travel is more than sightseeing. If you go abroad, the aim should be to experience life-changing moments thanks to new cultures.
Their travel stories are presented in a picture book format with minimally edited photos (all original). Readers get an insight into what life is like at these destinations instead of an airbrushed, at-a-distance impression.
We particularly like that Diana and Stefan have visited all seven continents (including Antarctica!), which is a massive achievement. Long travel periods and extended stays give them time to fully grasp new locations and introduce them to their readership in exquisite detail.
Legal Nomads
Legal Nomads is the brainchild of former lawyer Jodi who travels the world while writing.
She originally intended her blog to focus on travel stories with her friends and family, but it soon morphed into a full-blown gastronomic adventure as she began using food to connect with locals. To make matters even more complicated, Jodi is a celiac, making life even more interesting as she explores gluten-free cuisine in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
We picked this blog for our shortlist because of its focus on dietary requirements. It’s the perfect place for anyone interested in alternative lifestyles or indulging a passion for travel while catering to temperamental bowels.
Jodi’s chronic illness placed limits on her travels as a blogger. But through years of challenges and learning, she now presides over a fabulous resource for anyone with food intolerances wanting to live it up abroad.
The Blonde Abroad
The Blonde Abroad is another blog we love. This travel blog is run by Kiki, a Californian woman who was tired of working in finance and wanted to do something new with her life. She’s an inspiration to us, trading the office for her passion.
Kiki’s story began in 2011 on a life-changing solo travel backpacking trip in Southeast Asia. As a young woman, she discovered that her energy wasn’t best spent tapping away at a computer but instead travelling the globe and going on adventures. Because of this, she quit her job and toured more than 70 countries, living in South Africa for part of the time.
Another thing – it connects with women who love to travel. Kiki provides abundant insights into what to do, where to go, and problems to avoid. Even so, she still leaves space for the spirit of adventure, discussing beaches, nature, and wildlife. Her destination recommendations include New Zealand, Iceland, and Africa.
The Barefoot Nomad

This travel blog is run by Charles and Micki Kosman – a dynamic duo who explore the world and write about their adventures in a way that makes you really feel like you are there.
Micki and Charles have been to a lot of countries – over 40 at the last count – focusing on Southern Asia, the Caribbean, and North America.
During their travels they focus on gadgets and tech, researching and investigating how the other half lives. Much of their work feels like a documentary, educating you while making you wish you were there.
We like the fact that their travel blog is for everyone and their focus on ice cream. The couple (and their kids) love to treat themselves wherever they go, from Europe to the Philippines.

Uncornered Market
Uncornered Market (great name for a travel blog, I must add!) is a blog by husband-and-wife team Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott, with a sustainability twist.
Daniel and Audrey create content on their Instagram and blog for those who want to enjoy global travel without gnawing guilt. Believe me when I say, some people genuinely do feel guilty about travelling across our 7 continents!
Curiosity and respect drive the duo’s mission to preserve indigenous cultures and landscapes. We love that they always do something that benefits the local people and the environment whenever they go abroad. Visiting a distant land is never a one-sided trade.
Daniel excels at being analytical and creative thanks to his tech and management consulting background, while Audrey uses her experience working across international organisations in more than a hundred countries.
Uncornered Market began as a personal exploration of the world but soon morphed into a business. The blog offers consulting services to help travel destinations appeal to their audiences and get new visitors (something we understand).
Expert Vagabond
Expert Vagabond – run by Matt Karsten (a digital nomad) chronicles his adventures across the planet over the last ten years.
The point of Matt’s blog is to encourage people to travel more and embrace adventure. He believes it is essential to feel alive, vital, and fulfilled.
Matt’s backstory is particularly appealing. He wasn’t always a blogger. Instead, he began his career as a photographer in Miami. However, like many, he began to feel the travel itch. Why stay in one place when a whole world beckons, right?
Eventually, he saved enough money, built an online business, and quit his job in 2010. Selling his belongings, he fully committed to the nomadic life and embarked on a year-long adventure in Central America.
We love Matt’s curiosity and desire to view the globe from a different perspective. Goats On The Road
Our next pick – Goats On The Road! Yes, you read that right. Though, there are no actual goats with boarding passes globe hopping!
Founders Nick and Dariece set up the site in 2008 to pursue total freedom. They wanted to create a resource other remote workers could use to learn more about moving around and staying in various countries – often much cheaper than the West.
Like other travel bloggers discussed here, eventually they transitioned from conventional corporate jobs into the digital nomad space. The goal was to share their expertise with their willing audience and the opportunities to work from a laptop overseas. A goal, or dream, for most.

Hey Ciara! – a blog by Ciara, a captivating storyteller. She makes you feel like you are there with her on adventures. The aspect we like the most is that she offers an honest take on the positives and negatives of travel.
Ciara focuses most of her content towards solo travel. A scary notion for people to grasp – Ciara’s content helps guide solo travellers on how to get the most out of their trips safely.

To achieve this, Travel Freak’s founder, Jeremy Scott Foster, and the rest of the team pay close attention to the ever-changing nature of travel.
